Twitter announced its launching its own feature similar to Snapchat stories called Fleets.

Fleets allow Twitter users to post text, reactions to tweets, photos or videos and customize their Fleets with various background and text options.

Starting today, users will begin to see a row bubbles at the top of their timeline where they can view the stories from people they follow.

"Through our tests in Brazil, Italy, India, and South Korea, we learned Fleets helped people feel more comfortable joining the conversation – we saw people with Fleets talk more on Twitter," Twitter said in a statement

The company says it aims to make people feel more comfortable sharing personal and casual thoughts, opinions, and feelings through Fleets.

The social media platform will also roll out stickers and live broadcasting features in Fleets.
