No more Biscoff cookies: United Airlines subs in Oreo Thins as complimentary snack
Oreo Thins are going mile high.
United Airlines announced on Friday that they will be serving the brand new option on all United and United Express flights as an on-board snack, replacing Biscoff cookies.
"Our complimentary snack options continue to be a hit and we’re always looking for opportunities to introduce new selections," spokesperson Andrea Hiller confirmed to USA TODAY. "We plan to add Oreo Thins into the mix soon and look forward to the response from our customers."
Oreo Thins, which boasts 140 calories per four cookies, will join pretzels and highly-popular Stroopwafels as complimentary snacks starting in March, Hiller added.
For the curious, Biscoff cookies clock in at 120 calories per two cookies.
This is just the latest snack shake-up for United Airlines.
In January 2019, United Airlines brought back the Dutch-made Stroopwafels cookies, a cult favorite for passengers, after pulling the snack from their in-flight menu six months earlier.
If you are a Biscoff fan, don't fret. United Airlines is still in the process of determining future snack rotation options for the coming year.
In the meantime, Alaska Airlines serves Biscoff cookies on flights before 10 a.m. if all else fails.
